The Uyghur Freedom Institute strongly condemns the recent deportation of 40 Uyghur individuals by Thailand to China, a grave violation of international human rights standards. This forced return puts these individuals at immense risk of arbitrary detention, torture, forced labor in Chinese “re-education” camps, long-term imprisonment, and even death. The international community must hold Thailand accountable for its actions and ensure that such breaches of human rights are not tolerated.
We call for immediate measures to protect Uyghur refugees and demand that Thailand cease its deportations to China, upholding its obligations under international law.
