Uyghur Global Institute
The International Uyghur Institute (IUI) is a dynamic and growing organization uniting Uyghur studies scholars and experts from across the globe. Its team is designed to ensure excellence in research, advocacy, and operations, and is organized into the following components:
Executive Team
The Executive Team provides strategic leadership and includes:
- Founder and Executive Director: Responsible for leading the institute, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and management of all activities and operations.
- Finance and Operations Director: Oversees financial management and organizational operations to maintain efficiency and accountability.
- Technology Lead: Manages the institute’s digital infrastructure, including website development, cybersecurity, and online systems.
- Communications Lead: Handles public relations and directs all communication efforts to effectively convey the institute’s mission and work.
Policy and Program Team
- Research Team: Comprising experts in human rights, international relations, Uyghur history, language, and other critical fields.
- Policy Advocacy Team: Focused on advancing Uyghur-related issues through well-planned and impactful advocacy strategies.
- Project Management Team: Consists of seven experienced project managers who oversee and coordinate a range of initiatives.
Board of Directors
The IUI is guided by a Board of Directors, composed of seven members, including the Chair of the Board, Treasurer Advisor, Executive Director, PR Advisor, Legal Advisor, and two additional experts in Uyghur studies.
This well-rounded and diverse leadership structure ensures that the International Uyghur Institute remains steadfast in its mission to promote Uyghur studies and advance advocacy efforts on a global scale.
